Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. 7-day refund window

New PrepX subscribers may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of the original purchase date, provided the account has not been used in a manner that materially exceeds a reasonable trial — for example, completing more than 25% of the included lecture corpus, or consuming more than 25% of the included AI tutor credits during the window. Refund requests made after the 7-day window will be evaluated case by case but are not guaranteed.

2. Pro-rated refunds on annual plans

If you purchased an annual PrepX plan and wish to cancel after the 7-day window, you may request a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the subscription, calculated on a monthly basis from the date your written cancellation request is received. The first month and any month already in progress are treated as fully consumed. Pro-rated refunds are offered at our discretion and do not apply to monthly plans.

3. Non-refundable items

The following are sold as discrete digital deliverables and are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by law:

• One-time coin packs and in-product currency top-ups (consumable virtual goods).
• Single-lecture or single-mock purchases (delivered immediately on payment).
• Event tickets, workshops, and live cohort seats once the event has begun.
• Custom institutional licenses where a signed agreement governs commercial terms.

4. How to cancel

You can cancel a PrepX subscription in two ways:

• In-product: open your PrepX account settings and use the "Manage subscription" option. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• By email: write to legal@varunshuniversity.live from the email address registered on your PrepX account, with the subject line "Cancellation request". Include your order ID or registered email so we can verify ownership.

5. Processing time & method

Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of approval. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the credit may take an additional 2–10 business days to appear on your statement. We do not issue refunds to a different account, card, or instrument than the one used for the original purchase.

6. Razorpay & Stripe payment reversals

Payments collected via Razorpay or Stripe are reversed through the same gateway. The settlement window, processing fee policy, and currency conversion (for international cards) are governed by the respective gateway's standard terms. Gateway charges, GST, or foreign-exchange spreads applied at the time of purchase may not be recoverable in full and will be deducted from the refundable amount where applicable.

7. Failed or duplicate transactions

If you were charged for a transaction that did not result in an active subscription, or if you were charged more than once for the same order, contact legal@varunshuniversity.live with your transaction reference. We will reconcile with the payment gateway and reverse any duplicate or failed charge within 7 business days of confirmation.

8. Force majeure

We are not liable for refunds where a service interruption is caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to government action, internet or grid outages, third-party cloud provider failure, natural disasters, or pandemics. Where such an event causes a prolonged outage during a paid subscription, we will offer a service-credit extension equal to the downtime, as a goodwill measure.

9. Disputes & escalation

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of a refund request, write to founder@varunshuniversity.live with the subject line "Refund escalation". We aim to resolve all escalations within 10 business days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally is governed by the laws of India, with the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka having jurisdiction.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our offerings, payment-gateway terms, or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. For any question, write to legal@varunshuniversity.live.
