What was broken.
Indian EdTech became a content business. Same lectures, repackaged. Same notes, recycled. The aspirant pays for a brand and a delivery channel, not for the institutional cognition that should sit behind their preparation. Meanwhile, the AI infrastructure to actually run a thinking institution at population scale has finally arrived. The gap between what's possible and what Indian aspirants get is widening every month.
That gap is what Varuns University fills.
Why I'm building it.
I'm a solo founder. Bootstrapped. I'm building this for my daughters and for every first-generation aspirant whose only access to good preparation today is a coaching brand with a marketing budget. Software ate retail, software ate transport, software ate entertainment — and somehow Indian exam prep stayed the most analog billion-dollar industry in the country. We're fixing that.
